From North: Take 95 south to Exit 9 (Route 4), get off exit 5A (route 102 south-Wickford). At end of exit ramp stay on 102 south. Go to 3rd traffic light and take right onto route 1 south. Go 1/4 mile and take left on Annaquatucket Road. Go 1/2 mile and take 4th left on Fairway Drive. School is directly on your right. Parking for stadium and gymnasiums are in the back of the building. From South: From 95 north take exit 3 (route 138 east-Newport/URI) Follow 138 east until you come to junction of route 1. Take left at light onto route 1 north. At first traffic light stay right on 1 north. Go 1/4 mile and take right on Annaquatucket Road. Go 1/2 mile and take 4th left on Fairway Drive. School is directly on your right. Be a part of tennis history and play on our famous grass courts, open for public play mid-May through early October. Reduced museum admission, locker rooms, towel services, USPTA professional instructional services/programs. Nationally recognized junior program. Lawn croquet play also available on request. From Providence: 95 N or S to 195 E to 24 S (Newport/Tiverton exit) to 138 S thru Portsmouth and Middletown along East Main Rd. (rt. 138) to Aquidneck Ave. traffic light. (Dunkin Donuts and Frosty Freeze on the rt.) Take left at traffic light onto Aquidneck Ave. to Memorial Blvd. Travel Memorial Blvd. past the beach to Bellevue Ave. Left on Bellevue Ave. past shopping centers to Ruggles Ave. (approx. 10 streets down on the right.) Stay on Ruggles past the ballfield and take the next rt. onto Old Fort Rd. Enter large parking lot on left and go up the hill. Enter thru red doors. Gym is on right. From North/South
From Route 95 North/South: Take Exit 10A/10 onto Rte 117 East. Follow the signs for Rte. 117 East through Apponaug. From the Lockwood Condominium site (on the right), proceed on Rte. 117 East to Wildes Corner (Herb’s Sunoco on the right, Citizens’ Bank on the left and a car dealership in the center). Stay to the right and the school is 1/2 mile on the left.
From Route 95
Exit at Route 37 East (Exit 14 East). Exit off of Route 37 onto Post Road South (Route 1 South). Stay on Post Road up to the intersection of Airport Road (about one mile). Go left onto Airport Road. Follow Airport Road to intersection with Warwick Avenue (Hoxsie 4-Corners). Take a right onto Warwick Avenue. Follow Warwick Avenue several miles up to merge with Oakland Beach Avenue (Warwick Avenue forks to left, Oakland Beach Avenue to the right). This is just past major shopping plaza on the right (Super Stop and Shop, etc.). Bear right onto Oakland Beach Avenue. School entrance is just down on the left.
Outdoor, lighted tennis and basketball courts and track are available at the Portsmouth High School on Education Lane.
From the North
Take Rte 24 South into Portsmouth – Take Exit 1 (Turnpike Avenue) – at end of exit turn right and go under over pass – Entrance to school is next left.
From the South
Take Rte 138 North into Portsmouth – Look for Clements Supermarket on the right hand side – Go to Next light (Bank of Newport will be straight ahead) – Bear Left onto Turnpike Avenue – Entrance to school is approximately 1/4 mile on the right.
From 95, either north or south, take exit 6a (Hopkins Hill Rd) and follow Hopkins Hill Rd to Rte 3 (Tiogue Ave.) Turn left onto Tiogue Avenue. At your fifth traffic light(apx. 1 mile) turn right onto Reservoir Road. Travel apx. 1/2 mile, entrance to Coventry High School will be on your left. Gymnasium is equipped with an AED unit.
From Route 95
From Route 95 North or South, exit at Route 37 East in Warwick. Follow Route 37 towards Post Road (Route 1). Take Post Road North (all the way to the end of Route 37). Stay on Post Road North for about 2 miles until you come to the intersection of Fairfax Drive on the left. There will be a Dunkin Donuts just ahead on the right. If you go pass Dunkin Donuts, then you missed your turn. Take a right onto Fairfax Drive (bear right as you enter the neighborhood) and stay on it for about one mile. The first major intersection will be Pilgrim Drive on the left. Take a left onto Pilgrim Drive. The school is on the left. The baseball and soccer field is to the right of the school. The football field is behind the baseball field. The gym is in the back of the school.
