USTA RI Grants
USTA Rhode Island is committed to promoting tennis at the local level. To that end, we offer program grants to assist organizations in initiating or expanding tennis programming. Grants may be used to develop instructional programs and/or organized league play for people of all ages, abilities and populations.
- All grant applicants must submit a complete grant application form that includes a description of the program, program objectives, evaluation methods, and program budget.
- All grant recipients must return a grant accountability form within two weeks of the conclusion of the program. If the program is on-going, an accountability form must be submitted no later the end of the calendar year. These forms are mandatory.

USTA RHODE ISLAND
2026 FACILITIES FUNDING MICRO-GRANT
In addition to national and sectional facilities grants, USTA Rhode Island will provide a Tennis Facilities Funding micro-grant of up to $1000 for schools and parks & recreation departments. The grants are available to both public and private school, with the understanding that the tennis courts must be open for free public play when not in school use.
The grants can be used for:
* New nets/center straps.
* Wind screens
* Scorecards
* Roll-dries and squeegees
* Court crack fill
* On-Court benches
Organizations must fill out a grant application to be eligible for approval. Organizations must make the purchases and submit the receipts for up to $1000 in reimbursements. No payments will be reimbursed without the receipts.
Tennis balls are not eligible for this grant.
